Flexible thumb support rhizarthrosis brace - Epitact The EPITACT® proprioceptive orthosis is designed to offer relief from joint pain related to osteoarthritis at the base of the thumb, also known as rhizarthrosis. Wearing it during the day helps limit traumatic micro-movements of the thumb during daily activities such as walking and talking, while simultaneously keeping the thumb in a resting position and providing local heat to the joint. Thanks to its flexibility, thinness and unobtrusiveness, it allows full functionality of the hand, allowing you to perform activities such as driving, writing, using the telephone and wearing watches and jewellery. The flexible orthosis opens the commissure that holds the thumb in the resting position, limiting the forces acting on the trapezometacarpal.
