The CMC fibres form a gel which conforms to the wound bed and supports a moist wound healing environment, and as fluid is absorbed vertically and locked away, peri-wound skin is protected from maceration. Its unstitched design helps it to micro-contour to the wound bed to minimise dead space where bacteria can proliferate.
