Once applied, I like to use firm pressure - this helps it penetrate deeper, and it works wonders for sore muscles. The big advantage here is that the pad doesn't leave any residue on your skin. You can squeeze out as much gel as you need, and using a firm pressure really makes a difference. To me, the handle is curved in just the right way, so I can use it at full length or half length depending where I'm applying - this gives me more flexibility than I'd have with straight handles. The texture of the handle means it's less slippery than others on the market, making it easier to grip. Another product from the same manufacturer that comes with a brush head, sponge, and pumice stone is also fantastic, so I'd give that a try as well.

I was excited to get started with this product, and I have to say that my experience has been a bit of a mixed bag so far. The silicone applicator is really well-made - it's firm and sturdy, almost like flip-flop foam which makes it feel great on the skin.

The scrubby bit one side is actually quite effective at removing lotions without leaving them clinging in strange places, and I've found that this has been particularly useful for me as a 59-year-old.
