ClearHeal Non-adherent dressing plasters are a type of sterile, self-adhesive wound dressing composed of non-woven cloth and an absorbent pad that can be applied to low exudate wounds, such as cuts, abrasions, minor burns, post-operative wounds, donor site protection, catheter fixation, and for the prevention of skin breakdown due to continuous moisture or friction. However, it is not suitable for moderate to high exudate wounds, deep cavity wounds, or as a primary wound closure method.
The dressing's non-adherent pad, soft non-woven cloth backing, and absorbent qualities contribute to optimal wound healing while minimizing pain and skin irritation. Large 10x15cm, Medium 10x10cm, Small 5x7.5cm (box of 25) non-adherent pad size make it a convenient and practical option for wounds of varying sizes.
To apply ClearHeal Non-adherent dressing plasters, the wound and the surrounding skin must be free from creams, oils, and soaps. It is advisable to choose a dressing size that adheres to the dry and healthy skin around the wound site. The dressing may be left in place for up to seven days, depending on the wound's clinical condition, and should be changed if exudate penetrates the soft cloth backing.
When removing ClearHeal Non-adherent dressing plasters, it is crucial to avoid skin damage by gently peeling and lifting one corner of the dressing horizontally (in the direction of hair growth) while supporting the skin.
It is essential to stop any bleeding before applying the dressing and avoid stretching the dressing during application, as this may cause skin trauma. If the peel pouch is damaged or opened, do not use the dressing. Consult your healthcare provider if the wound's condition worsens.
